ID Released For Man Killed In Crash That Caused Hours-Long Saw Mill Parkway Closure The driver who died in a crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway that closed the northbound lanes in Bedford Hills for hours has been identified. Robert Leff, 51, of the Baldwin Place section of Somers, died around 11:25 a.m. Thursday after crashing into a tree, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Leff was traveling northbound in the vicinity of Green Lane when his Toyota Rav 4 left the roadway and struck a tree. Crash Snarls Traffic, Causing Closures On Saw Mill River Parkway This story has been updated. A serious crash with injuries blocked the right lane and caused temporary closures on a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Northern Westchester early Tuesday evening. The incident, on the northbound side, occurred just south of Green Lane in Bedford Hills, with stop-and-go traffic backed up to Kisco Avenue (Exit 37) in Mount Kisco. Mount Kisco Police said just before 6 p.m. that motorists should avoid the area while the crash is being investigated. The lane reopened by 7:30 p.m.
