School Swatting Incidents Occurring Across NY, State Police Say Authorities are investigating numerous incidents of schools in New York state receiving swatting calls claiming there is an active shooter in the building, state police said.  The threatening calls were received by schools on Thursday morning, March 30, and have all been found to be false, state police announced.  The State Police is aware of swatting incidents that have occurred across the state, in which a caller states that there is an active shooter in a school. Alert Issued For Missing Teenager In Westchester An alert has been issued for a 14-year-old teenager in Westchester who suffers from behavioral issues and has been reported missing. The Yonkers Police Department issued the alert for Ethan Aponte, who was reported missing as of 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6. They noted that he suffers from behavioral issues and ADHD. Police said that Aponte was last seen in the area of Gorton High School on Shonnard Place in Yonkers. He was wearing a gray sweater, black pants and red sneakers.
