Westchester Woman Scammed Out Of $5K By Fraudsters Posing As Feds, Police Say A Westchester woman was scammed out of thousands of dollars by fraudsters posing as federal agents claiming that her identity had been stolen in Texas, police said. The Scarsdale Police Department received a complaint from a local resident who said that on Friday, Feb. 5 she was contacted by alleged federal agents who informed her of fraudulent activity that took place recently in her name, was “serious in nature” and required her to secure her assets.
