Federal Assistance For Flood Recovery Approved For Westchester, Long Island: Hochul The federal government has approved funding for local governments in Westchester and Long Island to help communities devastated by heavy rain and flooding, officials announced. In an announcement on Wednesday, Jan. 31, New York Gov.
