Driver Holds Would-Be Carjacker Until Police Arrive In Westchester An alleged attempted carjacker in Westchester was held down by the owner of the vehicle until police could arrive on the scene. The incident took place around 6:35 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, when Greenburgh Police officers responded to the BP Gas Station located at 190 Aqueduct Road for a report of a robbery in progress, said Lieutenant Kobie Powell. Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Westchester A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle on a busy Westchester roadway has died. The incident took place around 12:05 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24, at Route 119 (Tarrytown Road) and Aqueduct Road, said Greenburgh Police Lt. Kobie Powell. When officers arrived on the scene they found the man in the roadway.  He was transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center where he died from his injuries, Powell said.  The identity of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of his family, he added. Possible Homicide Under Investigation After Body Found Near Busy Westchester Intersection An investigation is underway into a possible homicide after the body of a man was found behind a building near a busy intersection in Westchester on Friday evening. The building houses a deli at 48 Russell St. at the intersection of Aqueduct Road. The unidentified man was in his 40s, Greenburgh Police said.
