Rye Topples Tappan Zee, Heads To Sectional Football Title Game

RYE, N.Y. -- Rye High School quarterback Andrew Livingston tossed three touchdown passes to lift the host Garnets to a 28-7 victory over Tappan Zee in the Section 1 Class A football semifinals Friday.

The unbeaten Garnets (9-0) will meet Somers (7-2), a 52-14 winner over Ossining in Friday's other semifinal, Saturday, Nov. 9 at Mahopac High School for the Section 1 Class A title.

Shane O'Malley opened the scoring for Rye with a 4-yard run and Livingston tossed two scoring passes to give the Garnets a 21-7 halftime lead
