Lily Lindsay, 16, of Harrison and Melissa Curtis, 17, of Rye were both selected to the Women's Junior Eight team. Linsday is a rower with the Pelham Community Rowing Association and Curtis is a rower with Greenwich Crew.
The girls will be part of the USRowing National Team at the world championships. USRowing is the governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States. The world championships will consist of 13 events, including the men’s and women’s junior single sculls, the men’s and women’s junior double sculls, the men’s and women’s junior quadruple sculls, the men’s and women’s pair, the men’s four with coxswain, the men’s and women’s four, and the men’s and women’s eight.
