The service, managed by Rye Youth Council Employment Service volunteers, currently accepts part-time and full-time job listings, as well as nonprofit community service positions.
Students will be invited to sign up in the near future. Employers and nonprofit organizations are asked to register job and community service opportunities on the new employment site here.
Go to the site, register the organization and enter the job or community service information. Employers registering online will be contacted via phone by an office volunteer for verification before the job posting is made available online through the service. Employers are solely responsible for interviewing potential candidates; students and parents or legal guardians of minors are responsible for ensuring the suitability of the job and employer.
The Rye Youth Council Employment Service requires all students and employers to register through the website. Once approved, registrants will have 24/7 access to a personalized portal and account.
Some examples of possible job listings are:
- Homeowners and parents: Babysitting, tutoring, mother’s helper, pet care, sport instruction, yard work, cleaning out attics, garages or basements, gardening and moving furniture
- Businesses and organizations: Receptionist, filing, sales assistant, stock work, lifeguarding, word processing, computer installation and repair, equipment maintenance and community service work
The Rye Youth Council Employment Service office is at Rye High School and is usually staffed Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on school days.
