Rye Student Frequents School Library

RYE, N.Y. – Rye High School senior Kevin Slack goes to his school's library at least once a day during the week.

"I mostly go there to do homework or study during my free period," said Kevin, 17.

Kevin said he also uses the library when he needs to find a book for a class assignment or report.

"I don't usually have any problems finding anything, which is good," he said.

Occasionally, he said he uses the computers if he needs to do some Internet research, but there is often a wait time, so he prefers to use his computer at home.

When asked if he ever uses the local public library, Kevin said that he "almost never" goes there.

"Usually whatever I need is at the school library," he said.
