RYE, N.Y. -- Boston Post Road was closed for more than an hour Thursday after a two-car crash near Purdy Street.

The accident, reported about 3:40 p.m., prompted police and firefighters to reroute rush-hour traffic away from Route 1 toward Purchase Street and Midland Avenue.

Lt. Scott Craig of the Rye Police Department said that no one was hurt and no summonses were issued.
