RYE, N.Y. -- Three teenage girls reported seeing a man armed with a knife at Rye Recreation Park on Friday night, according to police reports.
The girls told police that they were approached by a man at the park at around 9 p.m. The man was described as a white male in his early 20's, clean shaven, wearing a red and black sweater, a baseball hat and carrying a red backpack.
Upon seeing the knife, the girls fled, police said. No property was taken and nobody was injured. Anybody with information on the incident is asked to call the City of Rye Police Detective Division at 914-967-1234.
