RYE, N.Y. – Matthew F. Ruisi of Rye died Dec. 6. He was 96.
Born June 30, 1916, he was the son of Matteo and Guiseppa Cassano Ruisi. He was a 20-year veteran of the New York City Fire Department.
Ruisi is survived by three children, Matthew (Carol), Joseph A., and Lawrence (Barbara) Ruisi; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at Resurrection Church in Rye. Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home handled arrangements.
