RYE, N.Y. - Helen Ann Slater, a lifelong resident of Rye, died Dec. 4. She was 70.
Slater was born Jan. 5, 1944, to Patrick and Helen Dempsey. She was a graduate of Rye High School Class of 1962.
Slater is survived by husband, Vincent; children, Vincent Slater (Marita), George Slater (Cathy) and Patricia Birdsall (Skip); three grandchildren; and siblings, Patrick Dempsey, William Dempsey, Mary Izbicki and Vincent Dempsey.
Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Graham Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9 at the Church of the Resurrection.
