Patri Ginas and Ann Barbara, both Port Chester residents, said they look forward to autumn and the closing of Rye Playland every year.

"I'm glad it's closing," Ginas said. "People can bring their dogs onto the beach. All dogs can roam free until April."
Ginas and Barbara said they also get a break from the tourists with the calendar turning to autumn. But they will look back fondly on the last three months.
"We had an awesome summer," Barbara said.
