Rye YMCA Starts Summer Maintenance Saturday

RYE, N.Y. -- The Rye YMCA will begin its annual summer maintenance Saturday, with various areas of the building closed until Sept. 2.

Certain areas of the Rye YMCA will be closed from Aug. 17 to Sept. 2 while regular maintenance, repairs and painting is performed.

The Brookside pool will close Saturday for about a week.The Pa Cope pool will have a limited schedule, but the temperature is expected to be cold while maintenance is performed on the boiler. The gymnasium will close on Monday and will re-open Sept. 3. The gym floor will be refinished and the curtain will be replaced.

On Monday, Aug. 26, the fitness center will close for a day while new equipment is added. The Pa Cope pool will close and the Brookside pool will re-open. The racquetball court will close and re-open Sept. 3, and the group wellness studio will close Wednesday, Aug. 28 and re-open Sept. 3.

Child watch will close Aug. 25 until Sept. 3, and the parking lot will be closed on Aug. 25. Free parking will be available in the municipal lot across the street. Painting will take place throughout the facility during the maintenance period.
