WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- As area roadways get more slippery as snow continues falling, several accidents have been reported Sunday.
An accident on eastbound I-287 between the Hutchinson River Parkway (Exit 9) and Route 120A (Exit 10), reported at 3:45 p.m., resulted in stop-and-go traffic.
An accident was resulted on the southbound Sprain Brook Parkway between Route 100C and I-287 at 3:44 p.m.
An overturned vehicle resulted in the closure of the right lane on northbound I-95.
The incident, between Fenimore Road (Exit 18A) and Boston Post Road (Exit 20), was reported at 2:25 p.m. and resulted in stop-and-go traffic.
Farther south, the right lane of southbound I-95 in Larchmont was blocked after an accident reported at 2:21.
The accident was between Chatsworth Avenue (Exit 17) and North Avenue/Cedar Street (Exit 16).
An accident on southbound I-87 in Yonkers blocked the left lane between Saw Mill River Road (Exit 7) and Corporate Drive/Stew Leonard Drive (Exit 6A), causing stop-and-go traffic. It was reported at 3:25 p.m.
Bee-Line buses and Paratransit vehicles are operating with minor system wide delays.
The following routes are operating on the standard snow detours:
- Route 8: No service to Nodine Hill. Bus will travel on Nepperhan Ave. between Elm Street and Walnut Street instead.
- Route 16: No service to Strawberry Road and Lexington Avenue Bus will operate on Route 6 instead.
- Route 30: No service to Stone Avenue and Fortfield Avenue. Bus will continue on Lockwood Avenue and Mile Square Road instead.
- Route 60: No service on Bryant Avenue or Old Mamaroneck Avenue. Buses will remain on Mamaroneck Avenue instead.
