  • Scores dropped this year for the math and English language arts exams given to students in grades three through eight. The lower scores are the result of changes to the tests following the switch to the Common Core curriculum.
  • Rye officials have released the 2013 Capital Improvement Plan. The plan includes potential capital improvement projects to be implemented over the next five years.
  • The City of Rye is considering outsourcing the management of the Whitby Castle restaurant at the Rye Golf Club. Some officials believe that the venue's financial performance could be improved by bringing in an outside agency to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
