- Rye ranked No. 10 on CNNMoney's list of the 25 Top Earning Towns in the U.S. With a population of 15,870, CNNMoney says the average family income for Rye residents is $221,457 and the average home price is $1,237,500.
- Rye officials are working to restore three historic mile markers located throughout town. The locations of the 250-year-old markers were fixed by Benjamin Franklin when he was creating postal routes along Boston Post Road in 1763.
- Independent mayoral candidate Peter Jovanovich secured his place on the November ballot by collecting 500 signatures from residents. Jovanovich will face Republican Joe Sack in this year's race.
