More than 200 Rye High School students were recognized for their high scores on the Advanced Placement exams this year.

  • Rye High School announced the recipients of the 2013 AP Scholar Awards this week. There were 13 National AP Scholars, 77 AP Scholars with Distinction, 55 AP Scholars with Honor and 65 AP Scholars.
  • City Councilman Peter Jovanovich announced this week he intends to run for mayor of Rye. Jovanovich will run as an independent, and face Republican Joe Sack in the November election.
  • The Town of Rye may outsource the day-to-day management of Rye Town Park. The town is seeking a public or private organization to oversee operations and find a year-round use of the park's historic pavilion.
