County Executive Knows 'What Makes Westchester Great'

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- During a recent "Celebrate Westchester" reception hosted by Daily Voice, public officials were asked what they think makes this county great.

County Executive Rob Astorino pointed out that as natives of Westchester, he, his wife and their children are all intimately familiar with what makes the county great.

Astorino said that summing up what makes Westchester special "can't be done" in 35 seconds.

Nonetheless, the Hawthorne resident said, "It's the greatest place in the world. We have the greatest schools, the most educated workforce in America and great parks. . . ."

"And you know that because you live here, too," Astorino concluded.

In addition to Astorino, more than 125 elected officials, hospital executives and other business leaders attended the March reception by Daily Voice at The Briarcliff Manor.

The reception marked the digital media company's sixth year in operation in Westchester County. It has since expanded to seven counties in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
