Lockdown Alarm Goes Off In Error At Middle School In Northern Westchester, Police Respond

An accidental lockdown alarm went off at a Northern Westchester middle school and prompted an immediate police response, school officials said.

The incident happened on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Peekskill Middle School, when a lockdown alarm was triggered "by error," according to a message from the district. 

Police responded to the school and cleared the building, officials added. 

"All students at all schools are safe and instruction is continuing as normal," district officials said.
