Traffic Alert Issued For Milling, Paving In Irvington

There will be road closures and limited vehicular access to certain areas in Irvington for several days as DPW crews undergo a road resurfacing project in the area.

East Sunnyside Lane is scheduled for milling and paving work on Monday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 9. While crews are performing the project, only local traffic will be permitted on East Sunnyside Lane. The Irvington Police Department noted that there will also be no vehicular access from Broadway (Route 9) through to Route 119.

Police said that there will be detours posted. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, if possible, as there will be “significant delays” until the project concludes.
