There was gridlock on the Tappan Zee Bridge in both directions at the height of the evening commute Friday.
A crash reported at 5 p.m. initially took out two lanes on the northbound side, causing stop-and-go delays on I-287 to White Plains.
The southbound lanes were also stop-and-go, with delays stretching back well into Rockland.
