Numerous Internet Outages Reported Throughout Northeast
Mass Internet outages were reported throughout the Northeast, impacting some of the nation’s largest companies, some local businesses, and schools.
Outages were first reported at approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 when websites including Amazon, Verizon, Zoom, Slack, and others that have become essential during the pandemic went down.
According to reports, there were outages reported from Washington D.C. to Massachusetts.

Death Of Devon Dalio In Fiery Crash Ruled Accidental, Medical Examiner Says
The death of Devon Dalio, who died in a fiery car crash into a retail store in Fairfield County, has been categorized as accidental by the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Dalio, age 42, the son of billionaire hedge fund investor Ray Dalio died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries on Thursday, Dec. 17, the M.E.’s office said Friday, Jan. 22.
The office said no other information would be released regarding the crash.

Video: '150 Good People Will Be Displaced,' RNN News Chief Says Of FiOS1 News Closure
Richard French III, the president of RNN News took time out of his daily TV show to talk about the upcoming closure of FiOS1 News after Verizon pulled out of contract talks with the company run by RNN and RNN-TV.
“The ending of FiOS1 is personal,” said French, whose family owns both companies. “Around 150 good people, both behind and in front of the cameras, will be displaced, (that) includes anchors, reporters, producers, videographers and so many other faces you will never see."
The closure of the hyper-local news channel will take place at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Joyce Ellen Romanchuk, 50, Formerly Of Hawthorne
Joyce Ellen Romanchuk, 50, formerly of Hawthorne, passed away suddenly on June 30.
She was born on Jan. 25, 1968, in White Plains to Max Romanchuk and Norma Kersten.
She was survived by her sister, Nancy Romanchuk; and her two sons, Zachary Lattanzio and Frank Lattanzio Jr. whom she loved dearly.
She was a loving aunt to Jos'e DelValle and Noah Romanchuk.
She was a graduate of Westlake High School in Thornwood.
As a computer systems analyst, she was an outstanding employee of Verizon and the March of Dimes.
She enjoyed the beach and all summer activities.
