The Sullivan County incident happened in the town of Thompson, on Rock Hill Drive, at around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16. Hudson Valley Man Nabbed For 3 Commercial Burglaries, Arrested For Shoplifting, Police Say
A man from the region who had been nabbed for three alleged commercial burglaries was arrested again for shoplifting at a Walmart store. Sullivan County resident Justus McMoore, age 37, of Monticello, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 22 in the town of Thompson after a brief foot chase. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, McMoore was spotted by security staff in Walmart allegedly shoplifting $161 dollars worth of merchandise. Crash Destroys FedEx Tractor-Trailer On Busy Roadway In Region
A driver managed to escape severe injuries during a crash of a FedEx tractor-trailer. The crash took place in Sullivan County in the town of Thompson on Route 17 around 7 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 30. According to the Rock Hill Fire Department, the driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own and was immediately transported to the hospital by Mobile medic EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. The department was assisted by: New York State Police, State Department of Transportation, Mobile medic EMS, Rock Hill EMS Prestige Towing.

Suspect Nabbed After Fatal Stabbing Of 22-Year-Old In Area
A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for the alleged stabbing murder of another area man during a dispute. The incident took place in Orange County. around 8:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 20 in the city of Middletown when police received a call for a dispute with weapons involved. According to Lt. Updated story - ID Released For Motorcyclist Killed After Hitting Deer In Area A motorcyclist was killed after hitting a deer on an area roadway overnight. The crash took place around 4:18 a.m., Tuesday, May 18 in Sullivan County in the town of Thompson, said New State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. Judge Dies Days After Sentencing For Crash That Killed Two Teens In Area
The former judge who was recently sentenced for a crash that claimed the lives of two teenage boys in 2019 died just days after having his license permanently revoked. Isaac Kantrowitz, a retired judge in Sullivan County who was charged in the June 2019 crash that took the lives of Justin Finkel, age 14, and Devin Zeninger, age 16, on June 2019, died on Thursday, April 1 at the age of 89. FBI Offers $10K Reward For Info Leading To Arrest In Case Of Missing Hudson Valley Woman
The FBI and other local agencies are asking for the public’s help for information regarding the whereabouts of a woman who went missing in the Hudson Valley. Shaniece Harris, 34, was last seen on May 29, 2017, and hasn’t been heard from since, according to an alert issued by authorities. Her dark gray 2007 Volkswagen Jetta was located by police abandoned on South Woods Drive in Thompson, in southern Sullivan County near the border of Orange County. Two Teens Struck, Killed By Car Driven By Retired Judge, NY State Police Say
A pair of teenagers have died after being fatally struck by an 86-year-old former judge, New York State Police investigators in the Hudson Valley announced. Justin Finkel, 14, and Devin Zeninger, 16, residents of the hamlet of Rock Hill in Sullivan County, have been identified as the victims who were struck at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, while crossing Glen Wild Road in the town of Thompson.
