ACL Injuries In Youth Athletes Will Be Subject Of Free Hour-Long Program In White Plains
With the frequency of ACL injuries occurring earlier and earlier for athletes, Hospital for Special Surgery Westchester is hosting a special program for parents to help avoid the pitfalls of the devastating injury. HSS Westchester announced it will be hosting a special program on ACL injuries in youth athletes, beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22 at the Outpatient Center on Westchester Avenue in White Plains. Butler Field To Be Closed For Renovation During Fall Season In Westchester
A busy track and field in Scarsdale is set to get its first facelift after more than a decade. Stuart Mattey, the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Facilities and Ray Pappalardi, the Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics for the Scarsdale School District provided an update on Butler Field, which is 13 years old and has “reached the end of its usable life.” Officials said that during the last spring season, “it was necessary to increase grooming and repairs to Butler Field in order to keep the field usable.
