The 2022 luxury real estate market in the Hudson Valley was not all that different from 2021, with a slight decline in sales in more northern areas, according to a new report. The report, released by the Houlihan Lawrence real estate brokerage on Thursday, Jan. 5, said that luxury real estate sales of $2 million or higher slightly increased in Westchester County compared to 2021, while sales in Putnam and Dutchess Counties stayed largely the same. Some of the results from New York’s first all-mail school elections are trickling in as districts work to count the ballots. As of Wednesday, June 17, no school districts in Westchester County have reported that their budgets failed, while many of the incumbent school board members look likely to maintain their seats. Thousands of Hudson Valley residents participated in March For Our Lives events protesting gun violence on Saturday, which coincided with the massive rally organized by students throughout the county attended by more than half a million in Washington, D.C. Hudson Valley school districts performed well among those with the best teachers, according to a recent rating by niche.com. The full results can found by clicking online here. Scarsdale topped the list followed by Bronxville as number two and Edgemont in sixth for best school teachers in New York state. Briarcliff was ranked in ninth place and Pleasantville in 11th.
