A 25-year-old man is behind bars after state police charged him in Northern Westchester connection with a rape investigation as well as drug and handgun possession. Man Convicted Of Kidnapping, Raping Teenage Girl In Northern Westchester
A 40-year-old man is heading to prison after being convicted of kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old girl. Victor Gonzalez, of Millwood, was convicted of third-degree rape after he raped the teenager in his New Castle apartment last June. Gonzalez entered his plea on Tuesday, Jan. 9 in Westchester County Sex Offender Court. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino said that on June 21 last year, police in New Castle received a phone call about a missing 16-year-old girl. Man, 27, Facing Felony Charges Of Rape, Sex Abuse, State Police Say
A New York State Police investigation led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man who allegedly raped and sexually abused his victim. Brittin Caffrey of Gardiner was arrested following an investigation by troopers in Highland and the New York State Police Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit. The investigation was launched following a complaint of sexual assault in Gardiner. Caffrey was arrested and charged with felony counts of rape and sexual abuse. 39-Year-Old Charged In Rape Of Minor In Westchester
A report by a minor in Northern Westchester that a classmate was sexually abused by a neighbor led to the arrest of a 39-year-old man, Bedford Police said. An investigation led by the Bedford Police Department's Detective and Patrol divisions, in conjunction with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, led to the arrest of Julio Cortez of Bedford Hills on Monday, Oct. 8. Cortez has been charged with one count of second-degree rape. He was arraigned in Bedford Justice Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail and is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 22.

Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Child, Rape Charge In Area
A multi-agency law enforcement investigation led to the apprehension of a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a child and was wanted for a separate rape charge in Rockland County. A former assistant varsity wrestling coach in Westchester has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of rape. Tyler Sick, the 30-year-old Tarrytown man who taught in New York and acted as a coach at Edgemont High School, pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday after being accused of raping a teenage girl in Greenburgh in 2016.
