1-Year-Old Dies After Allegedly Being Left In Hot Car In Hudson Valley
A 1-year-old girl died after allegedly being left in a hot car for several hours. The incident took place in Rockland County on Tuesday, May 9 around 4:30 p.m., in Spring Valley. According to Det. Philip Fantasia of the Spring Valley Police, officers responded to a home on Ridge Avenue on a report of a deceased child. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that a 1-year-old girl had been left in the family vehicle unattended for several hours and died, Fantasia said. Hurricane Ida claimed another Hudson Valley victim who found himself trapped inside his vehicle as floodwaters overcame him, officials confirmed. Bronx resident Alan Dorsainvil, age 33, was found unconscious early on Thursday, Sept. 2 by a passerby in Mount Vernon, officials said, near the corner of South Columbus Avenue. Man Found Dead At Park In Area, Police Say
The body of a man was found at a park in the Hudson Valley by a passerby. The body was discovered around 4 a.m., Thursday, June 17, in Rockland County, at Spring Valley’s Memorial Park. The person who found the body called 911 and officers responded to the park where a bystander was attempting to perform CPR, said Spring Valley PD Detective Matt Galli. Body Of Man Found In Westchester
A man was found dead near a busy intersection in Westchester. The 38-year-old man's body was discovered around 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9 in the area of New School and John streets in Yonkers, said Yonkers Police Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos. Detectives are conducting a death investigation along with the Medical Examiner’s Office, including the possibility that the man died of a drug overdose coinciding with exposure Politopoulos said. "We do not believe that there was foul play at this time, but the investigation is ongoing," Politopoulos said.

Westchester is in mourning after police identified a homicide victim in Greenwich as Valerie Reyes, who had been missing in New Rochelle for more than a week. ID'd Released For Man Found Dead At Metro-North Station In Area
A man whose body was found under the Springdale train station platform in Stamford has been identified as a New Canaan resident. Stephen Sugrue, 65, was found under the platform late Saturday afternoon, Dec. 29, according to Metro-North officials. The cause of death is pending results the Medical Examiner's Office. MTA police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Sugrue's death was the second death of a New Canaan resident near the tracks. John Hickey, 50, was killed on Dec. 13, 2018, by a train between the Darien and Noroton Heights stations.
