Westchester Ambulette Company To Shut Down Due To Financial Hardship
As a result of financial hardship, a Northern Westchester-based ambulette service will soon shut down, affecting hundreds of daily medical trips. Mount Kisco-based United Transportation Providers of Westchester County, Inc. will be shutting down its ambulette services for Westchester residents with serious medical conditions and mobility difficulties at the end of the day on Friday, March 8, the company announced. State officials are warning New Yorkers about a rise in text message scammers who are targeting their personal information. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a new moratorium on evictions related to financial hardship from the pandemic. The governor said the moratorium on residential and commercial evictions will be in effect until Jan. 15, 2022.
