Arrest Made In Hudson Valley Murder That Also Injured 5-Year-Old, Police Say
Police in the Hudson Valley have nabbed a man wanted in connection with the murder of an area man and also injured a 5-year-old.
The murder took place in Orange County on Thursday, Sept. 29, in the City of Newburgh.
City of Newburgh Police Commissioner Jose Gomerez announced Tuesday, Nov. 22 that Lamont Williams, age 29, no known address, was arrested in North Carolina following a months-long investigation.
Williams was found hiding in the closet of a mobile home and apprehended by US Marshals, said Gomerez.

Arizona Man Wanted For Violent Crimes Apprehended In Hudson Valley
A fugitive wanted for violent crimes in Arizona has been nabbed in the Hudson Valley, according to police.
In Orange County, officers with the Town of Crawford Police Department were first informed on Tuesday, Aug. 9 that a man with three separate arrest warrants out of Arizona was staying at a home in Crawford.
On Wednesday, Aug. 10, officers responded to the home, but were unable to find the man, police said.
A short time later, the suspect walked into the town’s police station and was arrested without incident.

Woman Accused Of Murdering 2-Year-Old Son Nabbed In Irvington, Police Say
A woman who was wanted in the murder of her 2-year-old son was apprehended in Westchester County following a traffic stop, police said.
Natalia Suero, age 29, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, by Irvington Police, according to the Village of Irvington Police Department.
Police said Suero pulled over for a red light traffic violation and was subsequently arrested on an active warrant for first-degree murder.
Suero was wanted by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department for the murder of her son, Jonathan Suero.

Two Brothers Nabbed For Murder Of Missing Man From Region
Two brothers have been arrested for the alleged murder of a missing area man.
The New York State Police arrested two Sullivan County men, Jack Carter, age 21, and Nick Carter, age 26, both of Glen Spey, on Wednesday, Jan. 19, for the murder of a missing area man.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a missing person report for 74-year-old Mark Eckert, of Glen Spey, who was last seen at his home on Saturday, Jan, 15, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.
An investigation ensued and on Jan. 19, Eckert's was located dead on his property, Nevel said.

Arrest Made In Fatal Stabbing Of Mother, Daughter In Westchester
A Westchester man has been arrested on charges that he stabbed to death a mother and daughter in their home and then fled the area.
Yonkers officials said Luis Gabriel Ramos, of Yonkers, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 3 in Salome, Arizona for the stabbing murder which took place sometime between Friday, Oct. 29, and when the two were found on Monday, Nov. 1.
The two women have been identified as Isabella Triano, 70, and her 38-year-old daughter, Trisha Miller.

A man wanted for fatally shooting a Westchester City Councilman’s nephew has been arraigned on charges that include murder.
Mount Vernon resident John Bobbitt, 42, has been arraigned in the shooting death of Kashawn “Kanye” Smith, the nephew of City Councilman Derrick Thompson, after attempting to flee into New Jersey to avoid arrest.
Specifically, Bobbitt was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing.

Former Yonkers resident Anthony Burton, who most recently lived in Pensacola, Florida, was found guilty of murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon following a trial for the murder of a Yonkers man in April 2016.
