Man Walking Toward BMW Robbed At Gunpoint Outside Home In Westchester, Police Say
Authorities in Westchester are searching for at least three men who held a victim at gunpoint and stole his car in front of his residence, police said. The incident happened on Wednesday, Sept. 27 around 7:15 a.m., when a man left his home in Scarsdale on Edgewood Road and walked toward his BMW SUV that was parked on the street. According to Scarsdale Police, the victim was then approached by at least three men who displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded that he hand over his property, which included his car keys. Hypodermic Needles Found Near Westchester Elementary School, Church
More than a dozen hypodermic needles were found on the ground near a Westchester elementary school and church. Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department received a report on Sunday, May 17, from a passerby that there were two needles near the intersection of Nelson Road and Edgewood Road, in the vicinity of the Edgewood Elementary School and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Man Becomes Combative After Being Busted Breaking Into Cars In Westchester, Police Say
A 25-year-old man was taken into police custody after going on a crime spree and breaking into multiple cars in Westchester. Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department received a call at approximately 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, from a local resident reporting that a man - later identified as Astoria resident Stanley Dejusus-Cruz from Queens - was seen rummaging through a parked car on Pinecrest Road.
