Weekslong Road Resurfacing Project Set To Begin In Yonkers There will be parking restrictions on Yonkers for several weeks as the Engineering Department begins preparing for an extensive road resurfacing project in the area. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano announced that beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 14, crews have begun preparing for the project, which will take place between Elm Street and Dunwoody Street.  The project is expected to kick off in earnest on Monday, Aug. 20 and last through the end of October.
