Fugitive Driving Stolen Truck Nabbed After Crashing Into Embankment During Westchester Chase
A wanted fugitive took troopers on a brief chase in an allegedly stolen pickup truck on I-95 while on drugs before crashing in Westchester, New York State Police said. Troopers stopped a driver at approximately 12:35 p.m. on Friday, April 24 on I-95 in Rye, when Portland, Maine, resident Paul Grandmaison, 41, committed a traffic violation. Police said that before troopers could even approach the vehicle during the subsequent traffic stop, Grandmaison sped away and a brief pursuit took place, at which point he crashed into an embankment in the area of Hillside Road and Ridge Street in Rye. …

18 Alleged Westchester Gang Members Indicted As Part Of 'Operation: Crip Keeper'
A yearlong investigation led to criminal charges for 18 alleged gang members who allegedly were involved in waves of violence and ran an elaborate cocaine-selling ring in Westchester. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced on Wednesday, June 12, that 18 alleged gang members had been arrested as part of a sweep dubbed “Operation: Crip Keeper” in New Rochelle. It's the third such sweep in Westchester in recent months. Scarpino announced that a Westchester County grand jury handed up a 50-count indictment against 14 members of the “8 Trey Crips” or “E.T.C.” …
