A Hudson Valley man who was allegedly driving high on drugs was arrested after being spotted swerving all over a busy roadway, almost striking several vehicles, authorities announced.
Manuel Perez, age 54, of Congers, was arrested in Rockland County around 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, when the Clarkstown Police responded to calls of a silver Toyota Suv driving erratically on Route 9W in Valley Cottage.

Woman Was Responsible For Crash Involving Westchester Man Under Influence Of Drugs, Police Say
An investigation by state police determined that, although the other driver was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, a sober 74-year-old woman was responsible for a crash in the area that sent both parties to the hospital for serious injuries.
State Police issued the findings on Thursday, Nov. 19.

A 32-year-old man who was allegedly driving under the influence when he crashed his vehicle, killing two women, has pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide.
Christopher Perrella, 32, of Vernon, New Jersey, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Dec. 11, before Orange County Court Judge Robert H. Freehill in connection with the deaths of two women, who were passengers in a car that Perrella had been driving on Nov. 4, 2017, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
