Rabies Confirmed In Kitten Captured In Westchester A small kitten which was captured late last week by police in Northern Westchester has tested positive for rabies. Health Department officials confirmed Thursday that the animal tested positive for rabies. Pound Ridge Police retrieved the small gray and white kitten in the area of Westchester Avenue and Upper Shad Road near Scotts Corners on Friday, July 27 at 9 a.m. after receiving calls from local residents who tried to capture it, Pound Ridge Police Chief Dave Ryan announced Thursday.
