Bear Spotted Near University Campus In Westchester
Officials are warning residents to take precautions after a black bear was sighted multiple times near a university campus in Northern Westchester. The sightings occurred in the village of Pleasantville on Choate Lane near the campus of Pace University, Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi announced on Wednesday, June 7. New Coyote Sightings Reported In Three Westchester Locales
There are some wild new neighbors setting up shop in Westchester. The Mount Pleasant Police Department is reporting several new wild coyote sightings in the area, prompting it to issue an alert to the community. Coyotes were spotted in the area of Warren Avenue and Sherman Avenue in Hawthorne; on Hardscrabble Road in Chappaqua and Choate Lane in Pleasantville. The sightings follow several in New Rochelle, Greenburgh, Eastchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Rockland counties.
