Police officers from the 3rd Precinct in Yonkers were flagged by a local resident on Thursday afternoon, when an iguana was spotted and was on the loose in the area. The officers were able to corral the “not-so-little” reptile, and snapped some photos. The iguana was unharmed during the rescue mission, and was ultimately taken in by the Good Samaritan who alerted police to the stray animal.

The right man was on patrol at the right time late last month, as Westchester County Police Officer Scott Forsythe - who happens to own ducks and chickens at his home - responded to a call on Main Street, where there were two ducklings trapped in a storm drain.
