A New York pub has found a creative way to circumvent New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s latest edict regarding serving alcohol at restaurants amid the COVID-19 crisis. This week, Cuomo announced that bars and restaurants would not be permitted to sell alcoholic beverages without also ordering food, forcing the bar owner to get creative. Two Westchester Store Clerks Charged In Underage Drinking Detail
A check of 15 stores in the area during an underage drinking enforcement detail has resulted in charges against two store clerks for selling alcohol to minors. State Police conducted plain-clothes checks of the retail locations in Westchester County that sell alcohol to ensure their compliance with New York State's Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Law on Friday, April 19. The two clerks cited were: Dipak Panday, 43, of Mahopac, an employee of Swans Deli, Route 22, North Salem, was charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, a Class A misdemeanor. Store Clerk Charged In Westchester Underage Drinking Enforcement Detail
A store clerk has been charged with selling alcohol to a minor during an underage drinking enforcement operation in Northern Westchester. The operation, conducted by state police on Saturday, Feb. 16, included numerous retail establishments throughout the towns of Somers, North Salem, Lewisboro and Pound Ridge. During the detail, a 19-year old volunteer attempted to purchase alcohol under the observation of plainclothes investigators supported by uniformed troopers.
