DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- October had not been a good month for the Mercy College mens soccer team.
The Mavericks were in the midst of an eight-game losing streak, including six one-goal lossers, and were hoping to break it before months end. William Koki, Roberto Dashi and Moustapha Dioum led Mercy to a 3-0 win over visiting Philadelphia University on Wednesday, snapping the streak.
Dashi, from Nyack in Rockland County, and Dioum scored their first goals of the season. Koki netted his team-leading ninth of the season. Nick Papas recorded his third shutout of the season.
