Dobbs Ferry Finishes Off Ardsley 42-36

ARDSLEY, N.Y. – Dobbs Ferry registered six pins, including two in the first period, in a 42-36 win over host Ardsley in a Division II high school wrestling match Thursday.

Adam Rosencranz (152 pounds) had the team’s quickest pin, in 1:08, followed six seconds later by teammate Nick Cipriano (99).

Dobbs Ferry’s heavyweights – Dennis DeLeon (195), Kevin Driscoll (220) and Joe Morell (285) each finished off their respective opponents for six points apiece. Anthony Casamo (160) also pinned for the Eagles.

In the match of the day between sectional champ and state place finishers – Ardsley’s Drew Longo and Dobbs Ferry’s Jimmy Kyreakedes – Longo prevailed, 7-6.

Ardsley’s Russel Kogan (132) and Evan Shlom (182) had finishes in 51 and 52 seconds, respectively.
