“Our Irvington students love what they are doing,” said music teacher Alan Goldberg. “They have taken their intelligence and talent, which are considerable, and pushed them to the max. In my view, they are just doing what they love to do: make music. They are so absorbed in their music that being accepted into the All-County groups is a natural, logical outcome.”
The Main Street School students selected for the orchestra include Julianne Korb (violin), Ryan Liu (bass) and Seungchan Yun (cello), while Victoria Assade, Tiernan Cain, Jaron Kim and Emily Kropp were selected for the All-County Chorus.
Irvington Middle School students selected for the All-County Junior Orchestra for grades six and seven are Richard Ackerman (viola), Mary Cuff (cello), Taylor Lee (cello), Anika Manchanda (violin), Eesha Thaker (violin), Reinesse Wong (violin) and Robert Yun (viola).
Middle school student Marcel Ramos-Roux will play flute for the All-County Elementary Band.
Middle school students Arielle Ades (oboe), Ethan Chang (trumpet), Arusi Parekh (oboe) and Sebastian Ramos-Roux (French horn) will feature on the All-County Intermediate Band.
Violinist Sohum Gala of Irvington High School was selected for the Intermediate All-County Orchestra.
Former Irvington student Katie Accetta, who now attends the Masters School, will perform with the Intermediate Orchestra on violin.
In addition, former Irvington student Katie Accetta, a ninth-grader who now attends the Masters School, will be performing with the Intermediate Orchestra on violin.
Goldberg was selected to conduct the Westchester Elementary All-County Orchestra.
