The Empty Bowls Project was started by the Imagine Render Group, an international movement to eliminate hunger.

Community groups create handcrafted bowls and invite guests to the "Empty Bowls Dinner," where they are fed a simple meal, usually of soup and bread, in exchange for donations to local organizations that feed the hungry. Guests keep their bowls as a reminder of the dinner.

The Hastings High School event will benefit the Food Bank for Westchester. The donation is $10 for adults and $7 for students.

For more information, visit the Empty Bowls website or the Food Bank For Westchester website.
