Dobbs Ferry Students Show Off Their Talents

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Dobbs Ferry Middle School and High School students took to the stage to unveil their various talents in the Dobbs Ferry’s Got Talent show on Friday night.

“I love when kids really have an opportunity to just express themselves and a talent show is kind of a hybrid of so many other things that we do and we have really talented kids,” said Dobbs Ferry Superintendent Lisa Brady. “It gives them a chance to showcase what they’re passionate about.”

The show featured everything from the Dobbs Ferry Stepping Eagles to singing, dancing and even a little ukulele playing.

“I cannot say enough about this group of kids they’re enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated,” said Susie Powers, a board member of SPRING Community Partners, which sponsored the event. “This night belongs to them, they owned the show.”

The high school/middle school auditorium filled up with students and families as they all gathered to watch their classmates, friends and children show off some of their own personal skills.

“My favorite part is just the enthusiasm,” Brady said. “You can feel when kids are excited. This has been a really fun week just being around them.”
