The incident occurred at 2:41 a.m. when County Police Officer Paul Osterman was traveling northbound on the Saw Mill near the Farragut Avenue exit. He observed a pair of headlights coming at him as he traveled in the left lane and took evasive action to avoid a head-on collision, turning toward the right shoulder of the road, police said.

The officer turned around and pulled over Daniella Baccari, 39, who was charged with DWI and reckless endangerment, police said.

Baccari is scheduled to appear in Hastings court on Wednesday, Jan. 28, police said.
