Pregnant Student Attacked At Graham School In Hastings

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A pregnant 17-year-old student at the Graham School was attacked by three other female students on July 11 around 4 p.m. The incident stemmed from a dispute that took place July 10, Police Lt. David Dosin said. Two of the attackers are 18, the third 16. The 17-year-old had no visible injuries but was struck in the stomach and head. She was taken to St. John’s Hospital for treatment. Dosin said charges have not been filed yet, but could be as the investigation continues.

Also from the Hastings Police blotter:

• Police responded to a call July 15 from a resident on Broadway reporting something going through his 2004 Dodge. The caller said he saw a man in his vehicle who fled when confronted, Dosin said. The caller said the vehicle had been rifled through, but nothing was missing. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in a driveway. No no damage was reported. The caller described the suspect as a white male teen wearing a black shirt and jeans. Patrol canvassed the area but did not find a suspect, Dosin said.

• Staff at the Graham School reported on July 13 that a student stole a tablet computer valued at $729.

• A female Hastings resident reported that her wallet was stolen from her residence between the mornings of June 20 and 29. She contacted police July 13 to report that a bad check had been deposited in her Citibank account. Funds were also removed from the account, which was overdrawn, Dosin said. Citibank told the resident the transaction took place at a Hastings Citibank branch.

• Police responded to a report on July 13 around 7:30 p.m. of a female going door-to-door on Zinsser Way. Patrol stopped the woman on Warburton Avenue and found that she was wanted on charges in Texas. The woman was described as black and wearing a pink dress. She and a male companion were advised to cease and desist, Dosin said.
