Five Charged In Westchester DWI Sobriety Checkpoint

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Five area residents are facing charges as a result of a DWI sobriety checkpoint conducted by New York State Police on Route 9 in the Town of Cortlandt on Saturday, Dec. 19.

The following were charged during the checkpoint:

Spencer J. Guerrero , 36, of Yonkers: Aggravated felony DWI arrest under Leandras Law, had BAC of .16 percent, according to state police. Was scheduled to appear in the Town of Cortlandt Court on Sunday.

Manuel J. Chacha, 48, of Sleepy Hollow: Aggravated DWI arrest, had a BAC of .18 percent, according to state police. Scheduled to appear in the Town of Cortlandt Court on Jan. 4.

Jessica Terranova, 30, of White Plains: Misdemeanor DWI arrest, had a BAC of .12 percent, according to state police. Scheduled to appear in the Town of Cortlandt Court on Jan. 4.

Claudio P. Pauta, 30, of Peekskill: Misdemenor DWI arrest (refusal), according to state police. Scheduled to appear in the Town of Cortlandt Court on Jan. 4.

Brian M. Desilva, 25, of Tafteville, Conn.: Misdemeanor DWI Arrest, had a BAC of .15 percent, according to state police. Scheduled to appear in the Town of Cortlandt Court on Jan. 4.
