Task Force Arrests Four for Ecstasy in Dobbs Ferry

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- A Dobbs Ferry resident reported a burglary on Aug. 24 and told police two diamond gold rings and a Garmin GPS system were missing from their home. A witness told police they saw an approximately 5'11" white, possibly Hispanic, bald man and a white female in her 30's on the victim's property around the time of the burglary. Police said the suspects entered the residence through an unlocked rear door.

Chadwick Gibbons, a 19-year-old Hastings resident, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree on Aug. 24. Police said after an investigation by the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force, Gibbons was arrested with 50 ecstasy pills in his possession on Livingston Ave shortly before 9 p.m.

The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force arrested three individuals on Ashford Ave on Aug. 25 for various drug related charges. Police said 21-year-old Oscar Brito, 22-year-old Christian Pelka and 23-year-old Albano Melo, all White Plains residents, were arrested at approximately 11:45 p.m. Brito was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and all three were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said there were 25 pills of ecstasy found during the arrest.

Elias Youssef, a 43-year-old resident of Paramus, N.J., was arrested at the New York Sports Club in Dobbs Ferry on Aug. 26. Police said Youssef was charged with grand larceny and resisting arrest after stealing a wallet from a man's locker and fleeing.

Police said the victim saw Youssef with his wallet and chased him out of the club. Police said they spotted Youssef attempting to cross the Saw Mill River and then fleeing on foot to the parkway. Police said he was arrested without incident shortly thereafter walking northbound on the Saw ill River Parkway. The wallet contained $268, two debit cards and a credit card.
