HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. As crews work to clean up the fallen branches and downed power lines, there are still several streets partially or fully closed in Hastings. Hastings Village Manager Fran Frobel said the village was surprised by how hard the storm hit and how early it arrived.
We really got clobbered, he said. "We still have downed wires that we aren't sure if they're still live or not.
Frobel said as of late Monday afternoon the following streets were still closed.
Ridge St. is partially closed; Jefferson St. is closed; Cliff St. is closed; Lefurgy Ave is partially closed; Ravine Drive is partially closed; Hamilton Ave is partially closed; Hollywood Drive and Forest Ave are closed, but should be open by Monday night
Frobel said he was unsure if the village would be applying for aid, whether its from the state or from FEMA.
I havent heard if theyre going to declare a disaster or not, he said. The first thing is to make sure you hit the threshold. We havent begun to analyze that yet.
