Some feel Wilson's name should remain on the replacement bridge, but others say a new bridge should get a new name, lohud reported.

An unscientific survey in downtown Yonkers revealed many are unfamiliar with the current bridge's name, according to the report.

Montebello Mayor Jeffrey Oppenheim wants the debate to be resolved by the time the new bridge opens to traffic in 2018. Oppenheim wants the bridge named for former Gov. Mario Cuomo and opposes the idea of naming it for late folk singer Pete Seeger, lohud reported.
